Abundant Table Kitchen was established December 09, 2025 by Cheryl Wellman from a long term, burning desire to give back to her community. Cheryl and Stephen moved to their forever home, a farm, in Belton SC in June 2022. She was assisted by her husband of 36 years to develop the concept and strategy for a soup kitchen in Belton to help people in need. Her desire stemmed from her experience volunteering at a soup kitchen in Lincolnton, NC where she saw the positive effects on and appreciation from people in all states of need.

Cheryl and Stephen partnered with Reverend Will DeLaney at the Belton Presbyterian Church. After hearing Will's passion for helping others in need and his recounting of his experiences and the impact of working with his mother at her soup kitchen he was an obvious choice to help steer the Abundant Table Kitchen towards reality.

We are proud to begin this journey together to help the people in our community who are in need of assistance.
